THE LEFT IS OUTRAGED BY HURRICANE HARVEY BECAUSE IT PROVES AMERICA ISN’T RACIST
‘Progressives’ Furious At Images Of People Of Different Races Helping Each Other
Paul Joseph Watson
The most widely shared images on social media out of Texas show people of all races helping each other deal with the catastrophe. This spontaneous outpouring of community spirit and color-blind resilience has infuriated some on the left because it has completely eviscerated their race-baiting narrative that America is deeply divided, emphasizing how most of that division is being contrived by the media and far-left political movements. Left-wing Slate writer Katy Waldman, who was first triggered by the photograph of a white man saving an Asian woman, asserted that “Houston doesn’t showcase America at its best.”
Politico chose to respond to the catastrophe by mocking the victims of the hurricane. They posted a cartoon of a white man wearing a Confederate flag shirt and his daughter being rescued that mocked their faith in God and thanked the government for rescuing them. The image was soon deleted.
The official Women’s March Twitter account also specifically directed followers to donate to charities to help non-white people. "The only group to separate #Harvey victims by color, race or national background. Everybody else is just saving people,” remarked actor James Woods. The Alt-Left on Twitter has also feverishly expressed their desire to see the catastrophe impact only white people.
The usual suspects, outlets like the Root and the Huffington Post also tried to gloss over the powerful uniting force that the disaster has had by attempting to make it all about race and anti-Trump hysteria. The fantastic, heartfelt, heroic and color-blind reaction that Hurricane Harvey has elicited has rendered the Alt-Left furious. Basic authentic reality has once again wrecked their fake moral panic and ruined their frenzied claim that America is on the brink of a race war. All this is not to say that racism doesn’t still in exist in America, but the notion that Americans are so divided that they are ready to choose sides in a “civil war,” as some (not memtioned here) asserted earlier this week, is patently ridiculous.
‘CHARLIE HEBDO’ COVER DEPICTS TEXAS HARVEY VICTIMS AS DROWNING NAZIS
The French magazine, Charlie Hebdo, has a cover praising God for sending a hurricane to Texas, and depicting victims of the flooding there as Nazis. The caption “Dieu Existe! Il A Noye Tous Les Neo Nazis Du Texas!” translates as “God Exists! He Drowned All Neo Nazis of Texas! The magazine previously hit headlines in 2015, after its HQ in Paris was attacked by Islamic extremists following the publication of images depicting the Prophet Mohammed. The artist who drew the latest cover, Laurent “Riss” Sourisseau, was injured in the attack. The magazine was also recently criticized for publishing a magazine cover depicting the victims of the Barcelona attack, with a caption ‘Islam, religion of peace’.
Americans on Twitter reacted to the latest Hebdo cover with anger: This failing rag would have already disappeared many years ago without the French government's subsidies. Stupidly offensive &, worse, not funny.
While not going as far as the French magazine, some leftist publications in the US have been slammed for publishing cartoons negatively depicting victims in Texas. Some have responded with their own cartoons to put the record straight.
HURRICANE HARVEY COULD SET LOOSE 350 ALLIGATORS IN TEXAS
Sanctuary Warns 350 Alligators Could ESCAPE If Hurricane Harvey Floodwaters Continue To Rise In Southeast Texas
Up to 350 alligators could soon be on the loose in southeast Texas due to rising floodwaters from Hurricane Harvey, an alligator sanctuary has warned. Water is within a foot of rising over the fences of Gator Country in Beaumont, which houses hundreds of the dangerous reptiles. The sanctuary’s most fearsome residents, which include two 13-foot alligators called Big Al and Big Tex, have been placed in trailers to prevent them from escaping. But workers have warned there is little they can do to stop the escape of the rest of the alligators from their outdoor enclosures.
NORTH KOREAN MISSILE FLIES OVER JAPAN, LANDS IN THE PACIFIC OCEAN
Prompting Angry Response From Tokyo-U.N. Security Council Confirmed It Would Hold Emergency Meeting In New York
North Korea launched a ballistic missile Tuesday morning that flew over the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido, the most brazen provocation of Kim Jong Un’s 5-year-long rule. In Japan, the Prime Minister Shinzo Abe was visibly agitated by North Korea’s actions. “A missile launch across Japan is an outrageous act that poses an unprecedented, grave and serious threat, and significantly undermines the peace and security of the region,” Shinzo Abe said after an emergency national security council meeting.
Japan’s upgraded missile response system swung into action, sending emergency alerts through cellphones and over loudspeakers shortly after 6a.m., warning people on the potential flight path of the threat and advising them to take cover. However, Japan did not try to shoot down the missile. Government officials said they could tell the missile was heading into the sea, rather than Japanese territory. Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said the Japanese government would take ‘all possible measures’ to ensure the safety of his people after a North Korean missile was fired over Japan on Aug. 29th.
The missile appears to have been a Hwasong-12, the intermediate-range ballistic missile technically capable of flying 3,000 miles that North Korea has been threatening to launch toward the U.S. territory of Guam. The U.N. Security Council confirmed it would hold an emergency meeting in New York Tuesday to discuss the latest provocation. Missile launches and nuclear tests are banned by the U.N. Security Council, but North Korea has paid no attention to its resolutions.
In Seoul, South Korea President Moon Jae-in, a liberal who has promoted engagement with Pyongyang, ordered an “overwhelming show of force” in response to the missile launch. South Korea’s military aircraft dropped 8 bombs on a shooting range on the southern side of the border with North Korea. Analysts said Tuesday’s launch marked a worrying escalation from North Korea. “This is a much more dangerous style of test,” said Abraham Denmark, director of the Asia program at the Wilson Center and a former top East Asia official at the Pentagon.
North Korea launched Tuesday’s missile to the east, over Hokkaido and into the Pacific Ocean, rather than on a southward path toward Guam, apparently to test its flight on a normal trajectory without crossing a “red line” of aiming at the United States. Still, this launch, coming after North Korea last month launched 2 intercontinental ballistic missiles theoretically capable of reaching the U.S. mainland, underscore both Kim’s defiance of the international community and his determination to press ahead with his missile program. Kim has now ordered the launch of 18 missiles this year alone, compared with the 16 missiles his father, Kim Jong Il, fired during 17 years in power.
The White House did not immediately respond to the latest provocation, but the Japanese prime minister’s office said Trump and Abe talked by phone for 40 minutes after the launch, agreeing that the test was unprecedented and that they should further increase the pressure on North Korea. North Korea’s recent missile tests had been carefully calibrated to go nearly straight up and land in the sea between the Korean Peninsula and Japan, rather than overflying Japan. “North Korean missiles have a habit of breaking apart in flight, if this happened and if parts of it landed in Japan, even if it was not North Korea’s intention, this would amount to a de facto attack on Japan,” Denmark said. This missile appeared to have broken into 3 parts during flight, but all of the parts landed in the sea. The missile was launched at 5:58a.m. Japan time from a site at Sunan, north of Pyongyang and the location of the country’s main international airport.
U.S. intelligence agencies were monitoring the site and had seen signs of the impending launch hours earlier, when they spotted Hwasong-12 missile equipment being moved into place. The Hwasong-12, aka the KN-17, is fired from a road-mobile launcher — usually a modified truck — making it easy to move around the country and launch on short notice. Japanese military aircraft and ships headed to the landing site on Tuesday morning to try to recover debris from the missile, which could yield important information about its technical capabilities.
“The U.S. and Japan have so few options to respond to these ballistic missile tests short of negotiations that would have North Korea agree to halt these launches in return for a modification of future military exercises,” he said. “This is why North Korea is such a problem — there are no good options.” Despite the international pressure, Kim has pressed ahead unrelentingly with his missile program.
US INTERCEPTS MISSILE DURING TEST AMID NORTH KOREA STANDOFF
Drill Sugests USA Can Intercept North Korea Missiles
The US Navy successfully intercepted a ballistic missile during a drill only days after North Korea fired a missile over Japan. The USS John Paul Jones, which is based in Hawaii, tracked the projectile on radar and destroyed it with a volley of SM-6 guided missiles, according to the US Missile Defense Agency.
“We are working closely with the fleet to develop this important new capability, and this was a key milestone in giving our Aegis ships an enhanced capability to defeat ballistic missiles in their terminal phase,” said MDA Director Lt. Gen. Sam Greaves. “We will continue developing ballistic missile defense technologies to stay ahead of the threat as it evolves.” The drill suggests that a Navy destroyer in the Sea of Japan could potentially knock down a North Korean missile, an increasingly likely scenario after North Korea fired a KN-17 missile over Japan on Saturday. The missile overflew Japan and landed in the Pacific Ocean, off the east coast of Hokkaido, one of Japan’s major islands.
In response, Russian President Vladimir Putin ordered 1500 Russians near the North Korea border to evacuate as military action against North Korea becomes plausible. “The move comes after President Donald Trump warned ‘all options are on the table’ in terms of a U.S. response to the missile launch,” Newsmax reported. Trump said, " North Korea has ‘signaled its contempt for its neighbors, for all members of the United Nations, and for minimum standards of acceptable international behavior.”
RUSSIA ORDERS MASS EVACUATION OVER NORTH KOREA MISSILE LAUNCH
RUSSIA Has Dramatically Relocated 1,500 People Fom Its Border With North Korea After Kim Jong-Un's Latest Missile Launch
Russian civil defence officials were reportedly ordered to shift residents in the country’s far east to “safe areas” in a extraordinary move amid fears of a worldwide conflict. North Korea angered the international community by launching a missile that flew directly over Japan. In response, US President Donald Trump threatened the communist state with military action. Warning “all options are on the table," thousands of Russian people from the city of Vladivostok were moved as part of an emergency operation. Russia President Vladimir Putin anticipates the US may wage war against the secretive state after Trump threatened to unleash “fire and fury” should it fire more missiles.
PYONGYANG ‘SENTENCES’ 4 SEOUL-BASED BRITISH JOURNALISTS TO DEATH
By Reviewing The Book-North Korea Confidential, Newspapers "Committed A Hideous Crime Of Seriously Insulting The Dignity Of The DPRK"
Pyongyang has sentenced 4 South Korean journalists to death for book reviews that insulted the North, state media said Thursday. The Chosun Ilbo and the Dong-A Ilbo, both of them conservative newspapers, reviewed the new Korean edition of “North Korea Confidential”, a book by 2 Seoul-based British journalists first published in 2015. The work details the growing role of the market in daily lives in the North, where South Korean television dramas are circulated on the black market, and fashion items and hairstyles from the South are copied. Those caught in possession of DVDs or USBs containing South Korean TV dramas can bribe their way out of any trouble, it says.
FREE-SPEECH SUPPORTERS 9-CITY “MARCH ON GOOGLE”
Free Speech Marchers Protest Google Censorship, Decry Violence
WASHINGTON, D.C. – A group of free speech supporters organized a March On Google Saturday, Aug. 19, to oppose Google “as an anti-free speech monopoly.” #MarchOnGoogle 9-city march, was to protest Google's censorship of conservative and libertarian content. The “MarchOnGoogle rallies was triggered by Google’s firing of software engineer James Damore, whose “manifesto” entitled “Google’s Ideological Echo Chamber” questioned Google’s politically correct corporate culture. Mr Damore's charged was determined to “perpetuate gender stereotypes” by advancing specious arguments to rationalize the gender gap reality that a relatively low number of women are advanced to high-paying technical positions in Google’s corporate hierarchy.
The #MarchOnGoogle event included the following cities:
- Washington, D.C.
- New York City
- Austin, Texas
- Boston, Massachusetts
- Mountain View-GooglePlex in Charleston Park
- Atlanta, Georgia
- Venice Beach in Los Angeles, California
- Pittsburg, Pennsylvania
- Seattle, Washington
Following the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia, the organizers of the “March on Google” posted on their website a call for all marches to be peaceful. “We, the organizers of the March on Google, join the President in condemning the actions in Charlottesville on August 12th,” the statement read. “Despite many false rumors from those seeking to discredit us we are in no way associated with any group who organized there,” the statement continued. “We condemn in the strongest possible terms any display of hatred and bigotry from any side. It has no place in America. No citizen should ever fear for their safety and security in our society.” The statement noted that 6 weeks ago, “March on Google” held a “Rally for Peace” at the White House calling for an end to all political violence. “The March on Google stands for free speech and the open discussion of ideas,” the statement stressed. “We condemn violence and silencing free speech as a means of promoting any political agenda,” the statement concluded. “Any individual attempting to incite violence during the March on Google will not be part of our event. Freedom of Speech is a Human Right.”
GOOGLE, GEORGE SOROS’ OPEN SOCIETY INSTITUTION AND THE FORD FOUNDATION– CONTRIBUTED MORE THAN $72 MILLION TO LEFTIST ORGANIZATIONS
Google, Facebook And Other Internet Portal Giants Aim To Censor Conservatives
Since 2006, 3 orgainizations: Google, George Soros and the Ford Foundation have contributed more than $72 million dollars to fund leftist group who put forth the idea that the internet should to be regulated by the government as a “common carrier” public utility under Title II of the Communications Act – the same regulatory framework crafted some 80 years ago to regulate the old rotary phone system. Google and the largest communications giants on the Internet lobbied the federal government to define broadband under these 1930s-style regulations – a designation that would allow the government to regulate more rigorously the broadband providers that built the core network connecting users to the Internet as “common carriers.”
The deceptively-termed “net neutrality” strategy was designed to exempt content monopolies like Google and Facebook from the strict regulations the FCC would apply to common carriers – a scheme that would allow Google, Facebook and the other Internet portal giants to censor conservatives as “fake news,” while demanding that “common carriers” like AT&T and Verizon have no choice but to carry their censored content.
The implementation of these 2015 Obama-era “net neutrality” regulations, which were heavily pushed by Google in hundreds of closed-door meetings at the Obama White House, carved out Google and the other Silicon Valley behemoths, and secured their position as absolute information gatekeepers.
Since these 2015 regulations passed, Google and Facebook have moved to become the judge, jury and executioner of the content we read on the Internet, under the guise of eliminating “fake news.”
RIOT POLICE OPEN UP WITH FLASHBANG GRENADES AND PEPPER SPRAY ON ANTIFA
Anti-Fascist Groups, Black Lives Matter Supporters, And Others Gathered In Cities In States From Coast To Coast
Thousands gathered in cities across the US on Sunday in response to Charlottesville’s ‘Unite the Right’ rally on Saturday. Anti-fascist groups, Black Lives Matter supporters and others gathered in cities in states from coast to coast, including a planned march on Trump Tower in New York, a candlelight vigil in Florida and a rally in a public square in Cleveland.
In many cities the events were loud but peaceable – however, things took a nasty turn in Seattle, Washington, when antifascist protesters were blocked from reaching a pro-Trump ‘Freedom Rally’ in Westlake Park. The antifascist group – some holding signs with anarchy symbols – faced off with police in riot gear and sprayed them with Silly String. Protesters appeared to rush police, leading to them pushing back to maintain the line and stop them reaching the pro-Trump rally.
Police also deployed flashbang grenades and pepper spray against protesters, who chanted ‘The cops and the Klan work hand-in-hand,’ and ‘Who do you protect, who do you serve?’ There were also reports of fireworks being used against police. At least one protester has been arrested.
AL QAEDA’S PROPAGANDA MAGAZINE 'INSPIRE' CALLS FOR TRAIN ATTACKS IN US, EUROPE
Identifying 3 Methods Of Attack: Train’s Compartments, Derailments Or Assaults On Stations
The new edition of Al Qaeda’s online propaganda magazine, known as 'Inspire,' calls on its followers to target trains in the US and Europe, identifying 3 methods of attack: the train’s compartments, derailments or assaults on stations.
However, a Department of Homeland Security bulletin indicates there is no credible or imminent threat. “TSA Office of Intelligence and Analysis (TSA-OIA) is not aware of any current or credible plots to attack transportation within the United States; however, TSA-OIA remains concerned with terrorist organizations’ efforts to conduct attacks against transportation,” the August 11 intelligence report stated.
The magazine, written in English, provides step-by-step instructions, similar to previous issues that coached terrorists on homemade bombs.
